New AR works by Cao Fei, now available on the Acute Art app

Download the free Acute Art app and experience brand new AR works by Cao Fei!

From today, users of the app can discover The Eternal Wave AR: Li Nova – an extension of The Eternal Wave project, which began as a VR piece premiering at the Serpentine Galleries earlier in the year. Users are able to place and interact with this new AR work wherever they are.

In addition to The Eternal Wave AR: Li Nova, visitors to the Serpentine Galleries will also be able to explore The Eternal Wave AR inside a physical rendition of the kitchen space from the Hongxia Theatre in Beijing, the site of Cao Fei’s studio.

Continuing the artist’s exploration of virtual possibilities, these new iterations of The Eternal Wave projects responds to the current moment by shifting from the VR headset to the smartphone screen, an experimentation with technology that reflects a changed reality to the one in which the exhibition opened.

Download the app here to explore the new artworks. Book your slot for the exhibition here.

Blueprints is on view at the Serpentine Galleries until from 4 August. The gallery is open 10-6pm, Tuesday – Sunday, plus bank holidays. Tickets are free but booking is essential. Book here and download the Acute Art app in advance.
