Tune in on tomorrow (Tuesday 9 June) for a conversation between artist Akram Zaatari and Daniel Birnbaum. ‘A Conversation’ will be live on Instagram at 12PM (EST/New York) / 5PM (BST/London) over on the @acuteart_ page.

In photography, film, video, and installation, Beirut-based artist Akram Zaatari (Lebanese, born 1966) has built a complex body of work that explores the state of image-making today. He is concerned with notions of desire, resistance, memory, surveillance, and –in particular– with the production and circulation of images during wartime.
