Bjarne Melgaard’s ‘My Trip’ on Frieze Viewing Room, May 8-15

Acute Art and Daniel Birnbaum are delighted to announce their presentation of My Trip by Bjarne Melgaard in the Frieze Viewing Room, a new virtual viewing platform.

Presented as a featured exhibition in the curated section of Frieze’s new initiative, hosting the Frieze New York 2020 edition online, this new mobile app and web-based platform enables viewers to see artwork from the comfort of their own home.

Replacing the gallery booth with a virtual viewing room, audiences will be able to experience Bjarne Melgaard’s work, as a 2D film, which captures the navigation experience of the VR piece from Daniel Birnbaum’s perspective. Viewers will able to journey through the work, as they would within the booth, through their smartphone or desktop computer without the specialist equipment and hardware needed to see VR. The app is free and open to the public for registered users from May 8–15.
